3 Overlooked Ways To Making Money in Runescape

If you are one of over 1 million players in RuneScape you know how incredibly difficult it is to get money, armor, or even a Godsword in RuneScape. The amount of money it takes to buy (almost) anything in RuneScape can be very difficult if you don't know how. Here are 3 tips that I found are very useful to making money that are usually overlooked:

Gathering:
Many players take for granted the amount of money you can get from simply gathering items to sell on the Grand Exchange. For example, on Waterbirth Island you can gather a good amount of Snape Grass that respawns rather quickly. A full load usually only takes about 5 minutes to get. Typically they sell for about 350-400 GP each. Meaning a full load of 28 would be 9,800- 11,200 GP per load. You should be able to get about 12 loads per hour which adds up to about 117,600-134,400 GP per hour! The best thing is that this herb is quite popular and easy to sell since players use this herb primarily for Prayer Restore Potions.
Of course there are other great things you can gather if Snape Grass isn't an option, such as Red Spiders' Eggs in the Varrock Sewers worth about 600-700 GP each- but these can be a bit harder to sell and gather.

Rune Running:
Another good way to making money that requires little effort and has a pretty good payout would be to run Nature Runes. This is an easy task that is really quick to learn and easy to do on auto-pilot, so to speak. What you do is go to World 36 and request assistance from players who have 91+ Runecrafting, then use Pure Essence to craft your runes into Nature Runes making double Nature Runes. (2 Nature Runes per 1 Pure Essence spent)then repeat. The best way to do this is by going through the Abyss north of Edgeville after doing the Mage of Zamorak mini-quest. (I'm going to assume that you are able to do this...)
Back to the tip... In order to make money with this all that you need is a decent amount of money to start with, ultimately you'll end up making all the money you invest back in a rather quick amount of time. Ideally, a good amount of money to invest would be anywhere between 75,000-150,000. This should buy you 500-1,000 Pure Essence since they typically are around 150 GP each. Since you get 2 Nature runes per Pure Essence you are making about 250 GP profit per Pure Essence spent since Nature Runes lately have been floating around 200 GP each. Now, if you are really slow you should end up making about 1,500 Nature Runes in an hour but you can usually get about 2,000 if you move fast enough. In about an hour you can make about 187,500- 250,000 GP Profit per hour. Again, that's profit!

Kingdom of Miscellania:

This is my personal favorite because it requires a tiny amount of effort and has a great payout. To me, this is the most overlooked way to make money. Now, the best way to make money by doing this is by doing both the Kingdom of Miscellania and Royal Trouble and having a good amount of money to invest. After doing both of these quests all you really have to do is get your approval rating to 100%- you can do this a number of ways by helping out your loyal subjects with their jobs from woodcutting to fishing to mining. Once you achieve this, put as much money as you would like to invest in the coffers and assign your workers to mine coal and cut maple logs. I chose these two because coal is always valuable and extremely easy to sell. Also, by having your subjects cut down maple trees they will get a good amount of bird's nests which can give great seeds such as a Palm tree seed or Yew tree seed and anything else you can think of. These seeds can then be sold for anywhere between just a few thousand GP up to almost 200,000 GP, depending on what it is. Ultimately how much money you make off of this technique is a wild card but typically just from the coal and maple logs it would be about double of what you invest. Bear in mind that 10% of the money that you invest in your kingdom will be deducted daily so you need to return daily to replenish what is lost and keep your approval up.
